Use Sliding Tackles to force actions from the opposition

In this clip, the opponent has a clear chance to make a low cross and easily score with a tap-in.

By performing a sliding tackle ("Circle" on PS4), I'm essentially blocking that passing lane and forcing the opponent to hold the ball, making it easier for my other defenders to press and win the ball back.

I often perform this technique to force a certain action from my opponent. Do this with caution inside the box, to avoid the risk of committing a foul.
