Manual Passing to Create Chances

Use Manual Passing (L2 + Left Stick while making a pass) for a more controlled through ball. In this example, I am pointing towards the goal so that the triangle pass does not send the ball to the flank, creating a much more dangerous chance.

The more you play the game, the better you will get at predicting where passing with Assistance will go; you will start noticing that assisted passing isn't always the best option. Manual Passes aren't easy to perform at first but can be key to placing the ball exactly where you intend.

I suggest you press "L2" as soon as your player begins the passing animation so that you have more time to point the yellow arrow (known as the "directional guide") to the direction you see fit.

Even if you miss a couple, you will gradually get better and it's definitely something you should add to your arsenal.
